Q&A with Pauline:

Interesting jobs you’ve had?
“Sports director and coach in a DN1 men’s team, currently coach of a cycling hope center”

Is there a profession other than cycling that you would like to pursue one day?
“Coach or athletic director. I have practiced before.”

What attracted you to cycling? Or how did you get started?
“I went to see the Tour de France with my grandparents every summer. With my brother and my grandfather, we climbed the passes with my dad’s old racing bikes and I then wanted to try the races.”

Do you have family members who ride?
“My grandfather, my father and my brother.”

What do you consider your strengths in cycling?
“I am an attacker, more like an adventurer. I like hilly terrain (bumps of 5km max with a low percentage of around 5%) races that wear out. And I am a fighter, persevering.”

Who are your role models?
“I really liked Thomas Voeckler  when I  was small, and now Alaphilippe for the French runners. Otherwise, Wout vanAert — he knows how to do everything!  Among the girls, I would say the career of Mariane Vos.”

What are your goals?
Progress, the French championship and win races!

Where is your favorite place to ride?
“No particular place but I like the middle mountains and come back to ride on the roads of my home in Charente Maritime!”

Any advice for young girls who want to get into cycling?
“Having fun is the main thing! The rest will follow!”

A dream race you would like to do?
The Olympics

“Procyclingstat for pro races.  Directvelo for amateur races”
