BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Inga has a great perspective on what it takes for US women to race on the world stage and show how exciting women’s cycling can be. A few of her achievements include:

  • 3 X Olympian, road cycling, 1984, 1988, 1992
  • 10 X US National Champion on the road, ITT, TTT
  • 2 X 3rd at the Tour de France Feminine Overall General Classification, 2 stage wins
  • Winner of the Ore-Ida Women’s Stage Race, 1990, Longest women’s stage race in the World, to date. UCI considered it too challenging for women and refused to ratify it.
  • Winner Coors Classic Stage Race, 1988

Inga was inducted into the US Bicycling Hall of Fame in 2014. She continues to be on many advocacy boards for Women in Sports. She started The Inga Thompson Foundation to help young women in cycling attain their goals.

Also, like Cynisca, Inga knows a thing or two about horses. She has owned and operated a horse-powered cattle ranch for the past 30 years. She has two sons, Tyler and Chaeden, and her partner is Tod Manning.

Follow us as we help talented women climb to the top of the podium!
